FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Westminster Community Foundation Announces Grants to Support
Westminster Residents:
Westminster, CO—The Westminster Community Foundation (WCF) is pleased to
announce the recipients of its 2025 Community Giving Program. The grant
program channels funds to nonprofit organizations and community-led initiatives
serving Westminster and its residents.
The WFC is Westminster’s catalyst for giving, dedicated to inspiring positive
change. “By supporting and partnering with these exceptional groups, WCF
amplifies our collective impact and builds a more prosperous Westminster for
everyone,” emphasized Marilyn Flachman, chair of WCF’s Community Giving
Program Committee.
The awardees of the $60,000 in grants include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro
Denver, CASA, FISH of Westminster, Growing Home, Kids First Health Care, A
Precious Child, and Revital Colorado.
The grants will bolster programs that provide Westminster residents with food,
basic essentials, and housing assistance; health care for disadvantaged children; aid
for at-risk youth and those who have experienced abuse or neglect; and long-term
stability for the homeless. Funds will also expand preventative mental health and
family resilience support for Westminster’s first responders—firefighters, police
officers, EMS providers, and their families.
“These programs are essential in today’s environment as Colorado economists and
officials express concern about the state’s budget shortfall, the negative impact of
tariffs, and federal funding cuts,” Flachman emphasized. “Proposed reductions in
funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) could leave
thousands of working families and children in Colorado without food assistance.
We at the Foundation work tirelessly to tackle challenges and improve our
residents’ quality of life. Our goal is to make a difference for the people of
Westminster.”
