PRESS RELEASE – CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF FEEDING
WESTMINSTER NEIGHBORS

In 1976, FISH of Westminster opened its first food pantry in southern Westminster. In the 50 years since, FISH, and its partner organizations, have been quietly feeding our friends and neighbors. Our primary goal has been, and continues to be, addressing food insecurity within our community. In 2025, we provided 92,420 meals through the food pantry, the homeless outreach program, and our annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
This is possible through the hard work and dedication of our 50 volunteers. Our volunteers range in age from 16 to 93 performing duties in the pantry, walking
homeless camps, cooking meals, and doing the full range of back-room support work needed to ensure the shelves are fully stocked and meals are prepared. The work of FISH is supported by local government, community businesses, community organizations, and individuals…through grants, cash donations, and food drives. Thanks to all of our volunteers, partners, and donors for your support!!!

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit made up of two food pantries with a focus on improving the quality of life for our neighbors in Westminster. We provide emergency food to hungry seniors, adults, and children in Westminster, Colorado.
